Choose before you polish. Use this before editing, before building a carousel, or before deciding which frame deserves to be published.

Use it when a photo looks good but still feels undecided.

Score each question from 0 to 2. A frame under 7 needs a clearer decision before the edit.

01

What is the image really about?

Write the real subject in one short phrase. Not the place name. The visual idea.

02

What should the viewer see first?

If the eye lands on the wrong thing, the edit will only make the confusion sharper.

03

What weakens the frame?

Name the distraction: edge clutter, flat light, repeated subject, empty mood, or unclear distance.

04

What must the edit protect?

Protect the strongest part first: atmosphere, skin, color, silence, geometry, movement, or texture.

05

What role should this image play?

Choose one: hero, story, detail, support, or cut. A good image can still be wrong for the sequence.
